Lifting loose lidded drums

Lifting loose lidded drums
Client: Leading Pharnaceutical OEM
Product: Vacuum lifter

The Problem »

Traditionally drums lifted by vacuum on the lid are reliant upon the over centre clamp bands securely fastening to the lid of the drum. The client wanted to save money by using existing plastic drums rather than having to buy new stainless steel ones.

The Solution »

The system uses a drum clamp to secure the lifter on to the loose lidded drum rim enabling the drum to be lifted.

The system is also capable of lifting sacks and boxes and lowering the drum clamp was so easy no productivity was lost.
